This bracelet is made with links picturing a stylized Mexican man wearing a sombrero! Much detail with rope design andd a round bead next to each link give the bracelet character. The bracelet is rather chunky and thick. Most interesting is the center Mexican man who has a hinge that opens similar to that of a pill box! This really is a secret compartment as we've just discovered this hidden secret as it is completely unnoticeable. The clasp is an early box clasp.
The piece is marked with the old Mexico style sterling stamp, "Sterling Mexico" and the maker is unattributed.
The bracelet is circa 1950's to 1960's and measures 7 3/4 inches long, almost 1 inch wide, and is 1/4 inch thick.
