We acquired this beautiful large sterling silver comb many years ago and have held onto it until now. We were drawn to the beautiful silverwork and hand engraved design. It is interesting as the maker is K&K San Francisco California. At the time this come was made, San Francisco was where most of the silver coins were minted for the United States. There were many silver and gold jewelry manufacturers in San Francisco in the late 1800’s. You could guess the wonderful history of this comb…..I wish I knew more!
The comb has 4 teeth.
The piece measures 6 inches long by 4 inches wide.
Markings are “K&K ?FCAL and a mark that appears to be a castle”.
Weight is 1.30 ounces.
